Start/End Date: 1st Sept to 6th Sept 2018
Gallery Address: Nolias Gallery, 60 Great Suffolk Street, London, SE1 0BL
Private View: 6pm to 8pm on Sat 1st Sept 2018 (RSVP to [email protected])
Furrah’s fascination with the many facets of colour is the focus of her new show ‘Colour in Abstraction’. Her works continue to engage with viewers on a deep level in keeping with her unique approach of sharing her creations, offering an immersive and interactive art experience.
Furrah’s continued research into the energies of colour have led her to delve deeper into the fascinating subject of frequencies of colours and how we can physically feel them. Furrah has recently been commissioned to create pieces that depict the clients own colour energy frequencies which are incorporated within her unique abstract creations.
This exhibition will include several pieces which have never been exhibited before.
As a strong advocate for promoting art to be more accessible, Furrah has always been passionate about sharing her works with all, including those who cannot see. She is looking forward to working with various local organisations that provide support & services to the blind and partially sighted during the show with special sessions tailored for them at the gallery.
During the show, Furrah will be offering all visitors the opportunity to learn the technique of recognising energies of different colours using senses other than sight.
Please note that the exhibition is open from 12pm to 6pm daily. Southwark tube station on the Jubilee line is just a short 5 minute walk from the gallery.

Gallery Address: Burgh House & Hampstead Museum, New End Square, Hampstead, London, NW3 1LT
An intriguing exhibition of Furrah’s latest works titled ‘Energy in Abstraction’. A vibrant collection of heavily-textured abstract paintings that conceptualise the notion of ‘Energy in Abstraction’. Furrah is fascinated by the energies that colours emit; there is a distinct difference between the energy that can be felt from shades of warm reds and the cool whites and pale blues. Each piece in this collection, emitting these warm and cool energies, can be rotated to view in all 4 orientations.
Furrah will be offering free mini-workshops demonstrating the technique for ‘feeling’ energies of colours. Pre-booking for the mini-workshops is required.
Please note that the exhibition is open from 12pm to 5pm daily (except Mon & Tue when Burgh House is closed). For directions to Burgh House please visit their main site: www.burghhouse.org.uk

'Kaleidoscope' at Espacio Gallery
Kaleidoscope
15-20 August 2013
Preview: Thursday 15 August 6-9pm
Espacio Gallery, 159 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 7DG
Kaleidoscope brings together an international group of thirteen visual artists who are currently making their presence felt in the East London art scene.
Abstract and expressionist painters, portrait and figurative painters, printmakers, an installation artist and a sculptor make up this talented and distinctive mix of professional artists.
This exhibition is a showcase for revealing their individual and divergent concerns; it enables a dialogue between concepts, a display of informed 2D and 3D media and celebrates a diversity of colour and form.
Kaleidoscope is a fitting description. As the viewer moves through the exhibition engaging with a constantly changing sequence of themes, responses, colours and objects the true meaning of Kaleidoscope begins to emerge.
Deriving from the Greek ‘Kalos’ meaning beautiful, ‘Eidos’ meaning form and ‘Skpeos’ meaning to examine or look, you are warmly invited to step inside this unique exhibition and make your own observations of these beautiful forms.

eXposé – unveiling the truth. Art can reveal and even create truth in their works according to philosophers such as Martin Heidegger. Twelve contemporary artists invite you to enjoy their work at Espacio Gallery’s latest exhibition, eXposé. Each artist brings their own unique interpretation of the worlds which inspire their art, from individuals caught in a moment of time in busy populated areas through to the interplay between water, light and reflection through to the built environment. Revealing their responses to these inspirations through their artwork is akin to a moment of confession, affirmation and delight. This opens up a discourse with you, the viewer. Art is a conversation and we would love you to join us in the conversation by visiting this extraordinary and exciting exhibition.
eXposé portrays the fertile and diverse aspects of the artists’ collective experience. As with other Espacio exhibitions, the artists are actively involved with the gallery and you can expect to find several invigilating at Emergence each day should you wish to discover more about the artwork.

Furrah was thrilled to be involved in this inaugural event. Organised by the Global Dialogue Foundation and Bumblebee Creative Social Enterprises, the ‘Windows of the World’ event represents active support for the development of a new and more humane existence on our planet, where environmental sustainability, spiritual fulfilment and social justice become the guiding principles of our time.
On 19th September, Furrah participated in the ‘Sanctuary Day’ activities as a goodwill ambassador for The SAGE Foundation (part of the Clinton Global Initiative) to promote the Sage Village Development initiative. She presented a number of rugs – handmade by the children of Sage villages in India – to children of Strathewen School whose town was mostly destroyed by the bush fires in early 2009. The rugs were originally designed by the children of the affected school as their vision for redevelopment for the future.
In addition, Furrah and her 8 yr old daughter, a student of West Grove Primary school in North London, presented 4 paintings to Strathewen school as a gift from students of West Grove school to let the affected students know that there were people who were thinking about them in London. As a result of this, an ongoing communication link has been established between the two schools for a cultural exchange programme.
As part of the fundraising proceedings for this event, Furrah exhibited and donated some of her art which will be sold with all proceeds going to Windows of the World.
